Q: What do I do if my son was gunned down and I spoke with an eyewitness that saw an officer of the law shoot 3 times

The office has not came forward with information

A: I am very sorry this happened. On the Criminal Law side of this situation, you can ask the law enforcement agency for an explanation. Ask them if there is any disciplinary action against the officer. Ask them if there is a current investigation into what happened. Ask them WHEN they can tell you more. You can also contact the District Attorney's Office and ask what they are doing about this situation. Ask if the officer committed a crime. If you suspect that an officer broke the law you ask the Texas Rangers to investigate!

There might also be a Civil Law issue. Consult with an attorney that handles Federal Civil Rights cases, especially Section 1983 cases. There may be steps you need to take to preserve your rights under Civil Law that attorneys who only practice in the area of Criminal Law do not know.
