Covington, LA asked in Child Custody for Louisiana

Q: S t. Tammany judge violated La.R.S. 9:364, granting sole custody of my then, 9yr old Granddaughter. My recourse?

I've just learned of this revised statute. He had supervised visits for 2 years as he was in and out of jail first tears of his daughter's life. A positive drug test by Mother who very obviously did great job raising an exceptional child and blatant lies with NO proof, brought on by disgruntled, mentally challenged ex-boyfriend awards immediate, and later final custody to a man with long record of stalking, assault, drugs, domestic violence, theft and more to him. His only witness, who gave testimony, painting a rosy picture of family life was his "recovering" heroin addict latest girlfriend. I found she wss recently released from jail, after this man got her out. He then told her, she has personally told me this, he would pay for her to get custody THEN of her 2 sons so long as she goes to court and helps him get his kid. The domestic violence, drugs, violence, instability has been ongoing. I must,MUST get my granddaughter before she witnesses worse or is harmed. Counselors have done

A: If you believe your granddaughter is not in a stable environment, you need to discuss the issue with a custody lawyer as soon as possible.

A: It is very difficult to understand your question as written. Clearly you need to hire a custody lawyer.
