Dallas, TX asked in Child Custody and Child Support for Texas

Q: I signed a paper from my ex that was notorized stating no child support would ever be sought after.

No paternity was established and it was signed after they where born does that mean she can try to take me to court and make me do a dna test when I do not think they are mine. While she was sleeping with her ex she got pregnant And can she get child support from me. If they are mine even though we signed that paper

A: The signing of the informal document you reference does not override any court action. However, it can be used as evidence especially if you are being asked to pay retroactive child support. Do not ignore any requests for the court simply because you believe that the document that you signed prevails. Let us know if you need legal representation. Good luck. 888-343-4529.
