A: Look at summary judgment in terms of what it means, and you'll realize on its face that it is a decision not to be taken lightly. When a party files a motion for summary judgment, they ask the court to reach a conclusion about the issue without trial. Under Rule 56 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, "the court shall grant summary judgment if the movant shows that there is NO GENUINE DISPUTE as to any material fact and the movant is entitled to judgment as a matter of law." That shows it is not something to be taken lightly.

In terms of a search, you will have to come up with a way to tailor your search narrowly, otherwise your results are going to yield thousands of summary judgment motions. Good luck
