Wyckoff, NJ asked in Traffic Tickets for New Jersey

Q: Are any points given for violation of unsafe tires in NJ

I believe this was a bogus ticket and the real issue was a case of racial profiling. Me, a man from Wyckoff, with two black males in a known drug area. The real facts were a friend I have known for twenty years asked for a ride because he was in a fight and needed help and a ride. I picked up my other friend from Paterson because I did not know the area my friend wanted me to pick him up from well, except it was a known drug area and it was approx. 5:45 AM. NEXT thing I know once the friend I went there for got in the car I was pulled over a couple of blocks down for double parking(which I NEVER was) and unsafe tires. After being pulled from the car, searched and handcuffed. The police said the car was being impounded, but it was not. I did not need any release from the police to get it out of Classics and was allowed, after paying 340 dollars(245 for tow + 90 dollars for storage + tax) to drive it right out of there with no questions asked. Man am I angry. I am a AAAmember and towed $
