Q: I am buying aluminum motorcycle wheel blanks, and I modify and resell the wheel; what insurance will protect me? Thanks

I purchase aluminum motorcycle wheel blanks from the largest manufacturer of wheel blanks for the automotive market. I take these wheel blanks and I have a fabrication shop, cut various designs of mine, in the blanks. These blanks are then hand polished and hubs are installed by "scumbagbiker" and sold to the public. I don't know what kind of insurance I should have, to protect myself from unforseen events. Thanks for your help on my behalf. You can see the wheels I produce at

A: It might be more beneficial for you to have a consult with an insurance professional. They would know insurance product line better than an attorney would. Some of the things you could ask about are general liability insurance, premises insurance, and workers' compensation insurance. These would be intended to cover general claims against you, claims occurring at your facility/property, and employee injury claims, respectively. An experienced insurance agent could bring many more important considerations to your attention. Good luck
