San Antonio, TX asked in Child Support for Texas

Q: my child support decree was issued in Cali. I now live in Texas, should I get a lawyer here or back in California?

I am the father and am not the custodial parent I am wanting to get my Child support reduced as I have a other child with my current wife, also because I do not make the same amount of money that I did in California.

A: If the children are in CA then CA still has jurisdiction and the order will have to be modified there meaning you will need a CA lawyer.
