Q: Can I sue hospitals and especially nursing Facility who ignored procedure causing my mom's burst abdomin!
My mom's mid section was as if a ball was under her gown. She was complaining of a pain in that area. In say 2 hospitals and nursing facility all ignored her pain and neglected my mother till tragically her stomach split open, her eyes stayed wide open as though the moment overwhelmed her and sent her into shock. She was like that for hours till she died did her eyes close. This was a month and a half ago and I'm so angry. I have researched this matter and it is clear procedure was not followed and my mother died of NEGLECT.
A: You need a medical malpractice attorney.

A: Under the Louisiana Medical Malpractice Act, you will first need to file a request for review by a medical review panel before you can file suit. Because of the special nature of medical malpractice claims, it is important that you consult with an attorney who does medical malpractice. Please remember you only have one year from your mother's death in which to file your request for review.
