Q: Can I be held liable if a dog bit my delivery driver even if it's not mine?
I live with my mom and today I had an UberEats delivery guy came to my house for delivery and he was encountered by a dog that kept barking at him. Needless to say, he got really scared and assumed it was my pet.
I told him that it wasn't mine and it actually belongs to my low-life drug addict neighbor.
If his dog actually did attack him, can I still be held liable even though I'm not the owner? Idiot neighbor didn't put it on a leash, but it was not on my property.
