Houston, TX asked in Child Custody for Texas

Q: Mother of child has refused to obey court order for the 2nd time. My daughter will be 4 in april of 2020.

My daughter is almost four years old. The mother of my daughter has refused to let me ever meet my daughter. I had to take her to court for a DNA test which I filed for as soon as i found out she was born. Took till the day my daughter turned 1 to go to court to enforce the DNA test. 6 months later got the results. Child support was enforced but no visitation rights given to me. In july of 2018 the judge ordered a court order of supervised visitation. My ex refused to do her part so I could set up visitation. On october 3rd of 2019 the judge learned I still have yet to see my daughter because she refused. He ordered her within 7 days of october 3rd to have her part done at guardian house in san Antonio, tx so I can finally start my visitation. She still has refused to do her part it's been 3 months now. My attorney said for $2,000 he'd file for an enforcement against her. I told him I can't afford to pay anything else right now. What can i do to finally meet and be apart of her life?

A: You’ve been given the correct advice by your attorney already. Follow their advice and borrow the funds if need be to handle your situation. The judge may award you a reimbursement of your attorney fees. Good luck. 888-343-4529.
