Houston, TX asked in Animal / Dog Law for Louisiana

Q: A neighbor accused our dog of fighting her dog breaking a tooth. No proof it was done in her yard. Do we pay Vet bill?

Her dog has jumped on our dog numerous times and another neighbor has had to get 1st neighbor’s dog off our dog. And it’s happened on our property.

She took her dog to vet for broken tooth from the dogs fighting and had them send us the bill. Are we responsible to pay even though she has no proof it happened on her property?

A: Make sure your dog's shots and license are all up to date. Tell her you need a photo, video or other evidence. Then buy a fence.
