Raleigh, NC asked in Traffic Tickets for North Carolina

Q: Court in the a.m. with no attorney currently

I was traveling 60 in a 45mph zone (thought it was posted as a 55) my dilemma is I haven't settled on an attorney in which I want to hire, mostly financial reasons at the moment. I was curious to see how I should address my need to the da or judge. Thank you

A: There are likely plenty of local attorneys who would have worked with you regarding payment. If the address on your ticket is correct, I am sure you received a crap ton of letters from them so you shouldn't have even had to leave you house to shop around. So this smells like procrastination to me as opposed to your insinuation of indecision. Now youse likely gotta waste yer time schlepping to court yerself. Your best bet is to ask the ADA for a continuance to hire an attorney. You do not need F. Lee Bailey for a mere infraction of 60 / 45 so just pick the cheapest traffic attorney that takes payments and roll with that.
