Asked in Car Accidents and Traffic Tickets for New Jersey

Q: I am Truck driver and I hit a parked truck at the receiving parking lot with no driver in the other truck.

The parked truck was in my blind spot but later the other driver came to the scene and called the cops and they gave me a careless driving ticket. Should I fight it

A: The answer depends on many factors, such as do you have a CDL where this ticket could cost you, your job especially if you get another ticket in the future, your past driving record, your ability to afford a good lawyer as a cheap lawyer may charge your a lower fee but will they get the result you need because just like everything in life you get what you pay for. I suggest that you setup one of the free in office consultation that most of us traffic ticket lawyer offer to learn how a good lawyer can help you.

A: You have a CDL that would be affected. Don't know about a citation for something like this on a private area--consult an attorney who handles tickets in the county /town where it happened.
