Q: I've been taking care of a old woman's dogs for over a year. Her niece took her from me today. Can she do that??
And took care of her also. She died Dec 29th and wanted me to have her dogs since I've grow attached over the yrs. I stayed in her house until today and cared for these dogs. Her niece decided today she is taking the Yorkie but not the other one. Can they do that or isn't it consider abandoned after all this time?
A: If she had a will, it should specify who gets the dogs upon her demise.
