Lakeland, GA asked in Personal Injury and Civil Rights for Georgia

Q: What is the first step I need to take in helping my brother file an on the job training accident while in prison in Ga?

He was left with 70% nerve damage to ear after helping outside electrician. They both were hit with a large amount of electricity. My brother was thrown back several feet and knocked unconscious. The electrician was taken to hospital, my brother was not. He was just taken to doctor yesterday after 2 months have passed by. He is due to be released next month.

A: The best step could be for you to reach out to attorneys to determine what type of coverage he would be entitled to. Most attorneys who handle injury claims would offer a free initial consult. Some might tell you that they would need to speak with him directly, but hopefully, some would offer you general guidance given the situation. Good luck
