Q: Buying a gun and then moving to another state
I’m currently 18 years old and living in Kentucky. I’ll be moving to Florida some time this summer. In Florida, you have to be 21 to buy a handgun but in Kentucky you only have to be 18. Can I buy a handgun here in Kentucky and still be able to possess and shoot it when I move to Florida and what problems could I potentially run into if I do that.
A: Florida has reciprocity with KY for ccdw licenses, so if you buy a gun in Kentucky and obtain a KY ccdw license, you should be fine in Florida.
