Got me going 70 in a 55. I’ve read online that I may not have to pay anything as I am a first time offender, as long as I go to driving school. Is this true?

Even if you go to court yourself and get approved for driving school, you still have to pay the court cost and fine - typically $263 plus the cost of driving school and you had to waste all your time in court and driving school - this sound like a good deal or fun to you? For likely around the same amount, you can just hire a local traffic attorney to handle this for you without you going to court or driving school. Some traffic attorney's may even offer payment plans so it won't be so much coming out of your budget all at once.
