Q: I am in a similar situation as above, when they garnish child support do they take the whole child support

I I am only ordered to pay arrearages and I have been up to date never made a late payment never missed a payment my question to you is will that the law I am in a wrongful-death settlement we are in a wrongful-death gets I $5,000 being the mother my son's Aunt has custody of him she took me to court for back child support that I had an owed brother who died, they set the arrearage is $13,k am on SSI I still make $50 a month which is what is court-ordered I have never missed a payment never have been late on a payment, my current balance is $0 because I am paid up for what the order is however I still have the rest of the arrearage to pay back which I am according to the judge's order, how much can they take out of my $5,000 that I would get back from my daughter's wrongful-death settlement isn't it legal for them to only take half 2500?
