East Liverpool, OH asked in Medical Malpractice for Ohio

Q: I have been on pain medication for probably over 20 years. I was weaned off within a month. Is that ok?

Never failed drug test or drug count. He had weaned me down from 100mg to 30mg which I have been on since the drug addicts started ODing. Went into office last month and he gave me 15 days of 20mg and 15 days of 10mg and told me I was done. I need to go back to pain clinic but have no insurance and possibly won't be accepted especially now with COVID-19 spreading the way it is. I have been told by a few colleagues, friends, and even a Nurse Practitioner that he took me off of them to fast seeing that I was on them for so long. I hope you can tell me if the Dr is wrong or right for taking me off of the medication the way he did. Thank You!!

A: I'm sorry for your ordeal. You need the medical opinion of a doctor here, not the general perspective of an attorney. You could present your records to a medical professional and ask them what they think. Attorneys are not medically qualified to make such determinations. Good luck
