Q: someone told me they were going to press charges for harassment against me because of an argument on facebook.
i commented on a post about stimulus checks, and this person turned it into an argument about something that happened 10 years ago and says they’re doing to press charges against me for harassment because i reacted to a post they made after they unfriended me. she followed up on instagram saying she would do so under the pa legislation 2709
A: Anyone can file a complaint. Whether or not it is something the police would do anything about is another thing. Keep a copy of her postings (hard copy), showing time and date; likewise any instagram or other transmission. Keep your response to a simple "I disagree." and say no more. Ideally, just ignore her.
