Q: Do I have to be an attorney to file a motion for a bond review/hearing?

Writing on behalf of an inmate at the cook county jail. He cannot afford the $1,500 attorney fee to file a motion.

Do I have to be an attorney to file a motion for a bond review/hearing?

If I can file this motion on his behalf, where can I find the appropriate documents?

A: For you to represent him, you would have to be licensed. He can file notions on his own behalf or through a lawyer, but not through a non lawyer.
