A: You will likely need to hire a lawyer who can advise you on the particular court it's in. Generally courts in Virginia don't issue FTA charges unless it's a really high speed. In my experience the military won't let you deploy if you tell them about a charge like that. Either way, if the charge was serious enough to warrant a FTA then you will likely need to face the music. Talk to a lawyer in the location where the charge is and they can better advise you on the specifics.
