Portland, OR asked in Landlord - Tenant for Oregon

Q: I have a rental property where two women(friends), have a years lease. One of the women has a teenage daughter.

This woman has said that the other woman's boyfriend keeps stopping by while only the teenage girl is home. It's making her extremely uncomfortable. Can I write something up that forbids him from entering the house until an adult is home? I live in Oregon.

A: The boyfriend has no right to be there without the direct invitation and/or permission of the adult girlfriend. IF he comes by, the teenager should simply refuse to let him enter and/or tell him to leave. If he does not, have her call the police. Beyond this, it should be an issue between the tenants - NOT one for the landlord to deal with - and the girlfriend simply needs to control the boyfriend.
