Marion, OH asked in Divorce for Kentucky

Q: I have been separate from my husband since 2014, he has been ordered to pay child support and I am the custodial parent

My question is: Is there paperwork I am able to obtain myself that will allow me to no longer be married? I have friends in different states who have ended their marital status by simply printing off papers and presenting them to the court.

My youngest son is medically fragile and my middle child is disabled due to autism. I have remained married and separate for such a long time because the idea of spending 1500.00 to detach my name seems like a selfish act when I have children who need so much, and it would only be taking from them.

Thank you, for answering so many people and hopefully you have good news for me as well.

A: Most courthouses have do-it-yourself packets for divorce you can pick up.
