Q: I got my first speeding ticket over 20 years of driving. Officer states I was doing 71 in 45 zone. does not show device:

radar, laser, etc. How can I dismiss the ticket, happen in union nj? Officer can be wrong? When I went on website it shows .29 SPEEDING (.29 INDICATES EXCEEDING BY 25-29 MPH)

A: The officer is not required to put on the ticket how your speed was measured. Thus that will not dismiss the ticket. If you need to know how your speed was checked you will need to order the discovery for the case which you can get by following court rule 7:7-7. Best advise: Hire a lawyer to do this for you and let that lawyer find a way to dismiss or downgrade your ticket.
