Q: Hello, I have used Google's Incognito browser often in the past 4 years. Am I eligible for compensation?
.
A:
This is a brand new case that was just filed last week.
There is no settlement, no judgement, nothing to claim at this point.
Class action cases take time, often 2-5 years from the time they are filed until they are resolved.
And there is no guarantee that the case will be successful, or that it will result in recoveries anywhere near the $5,000 per person that are being reported in the media.
It is likely that lots of other cases will be filed and eventually they will consolidated or coordinated in one large proceeding. The court overseeing it will appoint attorneys to represent all of the potential class members. They will then file an amended complaint.
You do not need to do anything at this point, unless you want to retain your own lawyer and consider filing your own case. Then you can use directories like Justia to search for class action lawyers.
Best of luck.
