Henrico, VA asked in Domestic Violence for Louisiana

Q: military son Got into a domestic dispute with his wife

my 19-year-old military son and his wife got into an altercation on yesterday. His wife called his sergeant in hopes that he could talk to my son and maybe separate them for a night or two. she said that she had been up all night and hadn't eaten or slept And told that to the sergeant. she said the sergeant called the military police and had them come over and she explained that she wasn't interested in filing charges. they had her to write out a statement and she put in the statement that my son slapped her and kicked her. she said that he threatened to do those things but never acted on them but that she was so exhausted and confused because of the police presence that she just wanted them to talk to my son and get it over with. They separated them for 72 hours but now my question is what do we need to do going forward?
