Mountain View, CA asked in Landlord - Tenant for California

Q: examples of harassment, retaliation, right to quiet enjoyment

Need to know if these qualify and I am confident they do:

Excessive and more aggressive notices through the RECENT months. most recent threats of lease violations for parking where signage allows us to park there from 9pm to 8am since building opened (and not in my lease agreement). Sudden change in tow companies with NEW signs just this week (good thing I took photos of former signs, but maybe a mistake when I emailed the senior staff!!!).

Letter from their lawyer making false allegations of myself parking in the spot.

Constant noticed of right to enter. Even AC guy came on wrong day and asked if he could come in anyways.

Fire alarm tests that lasted for more than an hour. TWICE these recent months (poor animals)

Preferred treatment for downstairs restaurant, our complaints NEVER resolved.

I have AMPLE evidence. The story goes on....

Plumbing guy has come in with no management on site, bragged to me how much he get to charge with no one there. Then asked if I live alone.

A: Very sorry to hear you are having such problems at home where you are hoping to RELAX, not gather evidence against your property managers. Not possible to provide you with any definitive answer since the time period during which this is all occurring is unclear. Not possible to provide you with a definitive answer that would be binding on the Court in any event, only an opinion. Your opinion is just as valid. Suggest you file in Small Claims for a rent reduction if you feel strongly about it, and also ask for injunction against LL to keep them from towing the car when properly parked, to make a definitive assignment of your parking space and to provide notice of same to towing company. If you do go to small claims, be sure to have a summary in the form of a chart with the dates of occurrences and duration for the Court. Best of luck to you.
