A: Courts have not closed and you can still file for divorce. Courts are operating on a limited basis but e-filing is mandatory in Texas so you can file for divorce. You may not be able to obtain temporary relief depending on what you are requesting but it would be a good idea to reach out to a Texas divorce lawyer to discuss your unique issues. you are going to need to have a plan for you and your soon-to-be-ex to separate. In other words, are either of you planning on moving out? How are you going to afford a new place to live. So there are some issues you need to think about, which is why it would be a good idea to call a local Texas divorce lawyer.
