Q: Can I get my dog back?
Not even a year ago I gave my aunt my French Bulldog on the promise that if she ever decided she did not want her she would bring her directly back to me. I’ve visited them on many occasions she never once mentioned not wanting her. I have even stated on numerous occasions if you decide not to keep her give her back to me! I just found out she gave her to a neighbor without my knowledge or even asking if I wanted her back as agreed upon. Do I have the right to go and get my dog back? She is still papered and microchipped in my name.
A: You probably can retrieve the dog assuming your aunt agreed to the promise to give him back if she decided to get rid of him.
