Los Angeles, CA asked in Real Estate Law and Landlord - Tenant for California

Q: Please sir, I'm begging you to help me find that lawyer asap, please? LL has changed locks on garage where my tools are

Thank you so much Mr. Mandel for your input. I need to find that tenants rights lawyer that you talked about. And actually its a woman from Nigeria even and she has a ton of hate & bitterness for the previous owner, her ex husband that passed. Now she's focused all that hate & anger towards me. She's also took the refrigerator, stove, washer & dryer, all the house furniture and put it in the garage also just to be spiteful. She does not live here & told me today that she's moving a family into the house now & I'm to remove all of my things from the bathroom now. And she said if my belongings are not removed from my storage shed Ive had for almost 2yrs now in the back yard by next weekend, she is going to do it for me. Now she won't even tell me when these so called new tenants are moving in? She is a monster that has to be stopped! Please? She had my truck broken into 3 weeks after he passed and had all my electrical tools, drills, saws stolen and my steering colum totaled. Please help

A: The matter you describe is more than just a LL/tenant problem. If your truck is being broken into and things stolen or damaged, you need to contact the police. You can also talk to them about the LL locking up your tools. As Mr. Juarez says, start searching online for a local attorney. You got all the benefit you can from posting here, now you need to get busy and find an attorney or legal aid in LA to help you directly.
