Q: Billing statement did not have rent included for 3 months, now I have to pay $2,000.
The employee on the phone says an eviction has been sent out but I have not received one, not sure what I should do.
A: If you have not paid rent, then you can be evicted. Some evictions have been prevented by federal rules on landlords during the virus, but you should either make arrangements to pay and stop the eviction process, or make arrangements to move elsewhere since the landlord has begun the eviction process which starts with giving tenant a 3 day notice to leave. An eviction is a permanent court record that can make it difficult to rent from a landlord who checks the records. So try to work it out to avoid that.
