What I think is happening is that your vehicle has been declared a total loss. So rather than simply going by a collision shop's parts and labor estimates, the insurance carrier needs to consider your vehicle's mileage in determining its replacement value, based on the market in your region for like models and trim levels. If you both have compelling proof, you may wind up negotiating or splitting the difference down the middle. Good luck
