someone hit my parked car on june 22nd 2020 and their insurance company wrote my car off as a total loss, but is giving me next to nothing for my car. Should I hire a lawyer to get more money out of them?

A: The answer really depends on the value of the car, because remember you will need to pay the lawyer for his time and that could be more expensive.

A: NJ law provides that you are entitled to the fair market value of the vehicle on that date of the accident.

Check some of the online sites like Edmunds.com or autotrader.com to see if the other insurance company is in the ballpark. Better off resolving this without a lawyer due to the cost.
