Q: I was the first to go through an unmarked intersection and was hit by a truck on my bike and was ticketed am I at fault.
I was more than 1/2 through the intersection on my motorized bike. I was thrown 15 plus feet by a suburban. My ankle was shattered and my bike was ruined. As well as stolen. Loss of ability to work. Inability to put any weight on my leg for 12 weeks. The intersection itself was completely unmarked with any stop or yield signs. I was the first at the intersection. No visible traffic. The to my left side as I crossed the intersection going into the cemetery I was struck by a suburban like vehicle going approximately 30 plus mph. I was thrown 15 plus feet into the cemetery ditch resulting in my ankle being broken in two spots. The police did not ask me what happened or tried to find out what happened at all. They seemed more concerned about getting it done so the other gentlemen that was involved could leave the scene. I was not given his info or insurance. The police later brought me a ticket with a court date for not having the right away. But according to state law I did. What do I do?
A: Hire a personal injury lawyer. The ticket is small fries.

A: What happens in traffic court will have a huge impact on whether you will be able to be compensated for your injuries. In the meantime, make certain you continue to follow up with medical treatment and hire a personal injury attorney right away.
