A: An Illinois attorney could best advise, but your question remains open for two weeks. The description here is somewhat brief, but the fact that your citation against you was dismissed is something in your favor. If the citation was for something administrative, it might not be significant. If the citation related to your operation of the vehicle (failure to yield, following too closely, excessive speed, etc.), that could be a significant element in your favor if you contemplate bringing a claim for your injuries. Since your injuries are serious, you could consider a consult with an Illinois attorney who handles motor vehicle accident cases. The dismissal of your citation could possibly be of value in re-examining the crash report. An Illinois attorney could outline the important issues here in more meaningful detail for you. Good luck
