Q: How to clear my name in an auto accident
I sold an individual a vehicle He never transferred it into his name and was involved in a hit-and-run. Now the DOT is trying to put the Blame on me.How do I go about clearing my name?
An Iowa attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for four weeks. Since you don't have the benefit of the vehicle registration as a solid form of proof, some weaker forms of proof could include a bill of sale, record of payment, copy of receipt, cancellation of insurance, and any other evidence related to the transaction. Good luck
