Q: The police took my car about a 2 month ago. My friend had my car and I was unaware of this. How do I get my car back???
I asked why is there a hold on it if I went to court??? The judge still never gave me another court dat I went on the 12 of last month. The police came on my property and took my car didn’t notify me or anything. I asked his why didn’t a officer come to my door he said he didn’t know where I stay. But they said they ran my plates. And money it tight right now so I don’t kno if I’ll be able to get a lawyer. What can I do??? Can the police release my car without permission from a judge???
A: It all depends on why your car is being held. You really should hire an attorney to assist you with this matter. That attorney will be able to look into the matter and tell you what needs to be done to get your car back. The sooner you hire an attorney, the better.
