A: A Massachusetts could answer your question best, but your post remains open for two weeks. It could be worth your time to fight the ticket. More than the $20 of the ticket could be at stake if the outcome is used as evidence of your fault if you are sued. Since the matter would be governed by Massachusetts law, you should consider reaching out to local traffic ticket attorneys to discuss. Your insurance carrier could have valuable input for you as well if you placed them on notice and they assigned a bodily injury examiner to the file in anticipation of claims from the other side. Good luck
