Avon By The Sea, NJ asked in Traffic Tickets for New Jersey

Q: Officer gave me a ticket for 39:4-94.2, there was no barricades (I have pictures of the street) it was a no thru traffic

So, another officer there told me that officer gave me the wrong ticket, that I will get mailed the correct ticket. So, he took back the ticket and told I was free to go. I still haven’t receive anything in the mail. But I looked online at NJ tickets to check if I still had the ticket or a new one. I check and it seems like I now have two tickets! The second ticket is the one I assumed was supposed to be “ corrected mailed” ticket but with a completely wrong time stamp. Do I need a lawyer even through I have pictures of the street with a time stamp on the picture? Or may I just explain this to the judge myself?

A: Yes I would suggest that you get a good lawyer because the officer can ask the court to amend or re issue the ticket up to a certain time.. Most of us traffic ticket lawyers offer free in office consultation I suggest you start with that to learn how a lawyer can help you.
