Typically, that provision relates to places where alcohol is the primary source of sales. There is a difference, certainly, between a bar that happens to serve food, and a restaurant that happens to also sell alcohol.
It would be wise, though, that while on parole, you conduct yourself "above reproach". You should take affirmative steps to avoid any question whether you are violating a term. And so from that perspective, if you know you shouldn't be around alcohol, and a place you want to be at will have alcohol there, you may want to think twice about going in the first place.
