A: A tenant cannot unreasonably refuse entry to a landlord who has provided at least 24 hours advanced notice of their intent to enter. However, neither can a landlord enter so frequently as to harass the tenant or to seriously interfere with their right of quiet enjoyment of their dwelling and tenancy. This said, no they cannot force you to vacate your dwelling (you are paying for the right to be there - they can't change that just because they now want to sell), nor can they require you to make special efforts at cleaning up, etc. IF you are agreeable to frequently showing the house, leaving, and/or making efforts to keep the dwelling in "show room" condition, then you can talk with your landlord to see what can be worked out. At a minimum you should be compensated for your additional efforts. Good luck.
