Q: Does law enforcement have the right to search my purse without consent when questioned for suspicion of retail theft.
Not for being recorded putting merchandise in purse or in a bag but saying I didn't scan a couple items on a 140.00 purchase if it happened it wasn't intentional. Then found drugs in my purse. Which I feel they had no right going through when my purse had nothing to do with what was in question. Feels like violation of my 4th amendment rights from all definitions I've reviewed is this a violation of my rights ?
