Augusta, GA asked in Child Custody, Child Support and Family Law for Louisiana

Q: Can I sue my daughter’s father for child support he haven’t provided for two years and also hospital costs he caused?

We never got to go to court for child support but after I got married I have wanted to sue him for the support he never provided and money he made me lose. I also want to terminate his rights. Him threatening me and harassing me I stopped talking to him unless it was about our daughter. He refused to help with our daughter ate I told him I wouldn’t pursue him romantically, but never helped since she was born. He was only my boyfriend and my daughter doesn’t know who he is. It’s definitely been more than 6 months since he has even asked about her. I just want to be completely done with him.

A: You won't be completely done with him unless you marry someone and your new husband adopts.

Hire a child support lawyer to pursue him for child support.
