Can I get the ticket dismissed as a city employee?

A: I'm guessing that you got the citation for the speeding in NYC or where your case will be heard in what's called TVB (Traffic Violations Bureau)? Plea negotiation is not allowed in TVB. So in order for you to have no impact on your license, you need to dismiss the case or get a not-guilty verdict which is difficult.

Generally, your occupation rarely makes a valid defense to a speeding violation. You presented your ID or badge to the officer, but nonetheless got the ticket. The only option left will be to fight the ticket and get the case dismissed or win at the trial.
