Q: i got a ticked for speeding in a different county i called & they said they couldn’t find my file what can i do next
i got pulled over in a different county i called the number they gave me and i asked how can i pay for it and they asked for my name and after that they said they couldn’t find my file i need guidance on what to do next
A: Make a request in writing for a court setting. The officer who issued your citation hasn't filed it with the court as of yet, but that doesn't me she/he won't do so soon. Telephone calls do not count as a court appearance and you want to avoid a warrant because nothing is in your file by the appearance date on the citation. Calling an attorney would help. Good luck.
