Arlington, TX asked in Family Law, Child Custody and Child Support for Louisiana

Q: Stipulated judgement completed and was turned over to court from our attorneys however

This was done for child custody and support not for property division; that’s scheduled later, but there was one clause that stated we were responsible for our own insurance and car notes but my spouse stated he would continue paying until the end of our divorce case. My question is does that go into Effect immediately so he’s allowed to drop insurance today?

Also, if there are many many errors in the judgement from no date or specific days child support should be paid , it doesn’t list the retroactive amount he owes it actually states he’s paid it which isn’t the case. Nor did we have a mediator we had our attorneys in with us and that’s t which I was unaware of. Should I get another attorney to overturn this mess?

A: You should at the least get a family law attorney to review it immediately.
