Q: I'm trying to get a identification card.. will the dmv check for warrants in Kentucky

It's a bench warrant for failure to appear I didnt no I had

A: The DMV does not use the Kentucky criminal warrant system so you would not be arrested. With that said, warrants in some cases can trigger a license hold or suspension and they may have a red flag in their system that will not allow you to receive a new license. Your best bet is to have the warrants handled by a lawyer and set aside before you apply.
