Q: injury of a minor 2+ years ago we had no knowledge of. Can we still be sued?
Alabama. We have Not Responsible for accident or injury signs on every entrance and the child was supposedly injured on an inflatable slide.
A: In Alabama, if a personal injury occurs to a minor, that minor can file a lawsuit up until the day the minor turns 21. There's a 2-year statute of limitations for injuries due to negligence, but that 2 years doesn't start to run until the injured person turns 19 years old.
