Q: Ticket in VA for driving on shoulder CDL A in PA will fine/points effect my CDL Class A for PA Should I just pay 100fine
I was charged with driving on shoulder in VA I have a PA CDL Class A should I just pay the fine of $100.00 and will the 4 points transfer to PA CDL or should I fight it?
A: If you didn't have a CDL, I would have told you that you don't need to worry about points transferring to your PA license. Pennsylvania would take no action on any points you may receive in VA. The only concern I have is whether that offense in VA is considered a "serious traffic offense" for federal DOT purposes. If it is, that could hit your CDL.
